St. Patrick’s Festival 2015

A request has been received from St. Patrick’s Festival for the temporary closure of the following roads to facilitate the St. Patricks Festival Event, during the periods listed below:

St. Patrick’s Festival Merrion Square Funfair

Merrion Square South – from 06.00hrs on Wednesday 11th March to 06.00hrs on Thursday 19th March 2015.

Traffic Management Plan

• Traffic on Merrion Street Upper wishing to travel on Merrion Square South to Merrion Square East will be diverted via Merrion Square North.
• Traffic on Merrion Square East wishing to travel on Merrion Street Upper will be diverted via Merrion Square North.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

St. Patrick’s Festival – Big Day Out 

Merrion Square West, Merrion Street Upper and Mount Street Upper from 14.00hrs on Saturday 14th March to 23.00hrs on Sunday 15th March 2015.

Traffic Management Plan

• Traffic on Merrion Square North wishing to travel on Merrion Square West to Baggot Street Lower will be diverted via Merrion Square East and Fitzwilliam Street Lower.
• Traffic on Merrion Row wishing to travel on Merrion Street Upper & Merrion Square West to Clare Street will be diverted via Baggot Street Lower, Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Merrion Square East and Merrion Square North.
• Traffic on Merrion Square East wishing to travel on Mount Street Upper to Warrington Place will be diverted via Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Baggot Street Lower and Herbert Place.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

St. Patrick’s Festival – 5K Road Race

Dawson Street (from St. Stephens Green North to Molesworth Street) from 10.00hrs to 13.00hrs on Sunday 15th March 2015.

• Traffic on St Stephen’s Green East & North wishing to travel on Dawson Street to Nassau Street will be diverted via Kildare Street and Molesworth Street.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.

• Period 1: from 20.00hrs on Friday 13th March to 06.00hrs on Monday 16th March 2015.
• Period 2: from 20.00hrs on Monday 16th March to 06.00hrs on Wednesday 18th March 2015.

• Period 2: from 12.00hrs to 21.00hrs on Tuesday 17th March 2015.

Moore Lane, Dublin 1.

GMC Utilities Ltd intends to close the following road to facilitate utility works for Luas Cross City:

• Moore Lane (from Parnell Street to O’Rahilly Parade), Dublin 1 from 0.00hrs on Saturday 28th February 2015 to 24.00hrs on Friday 13th March 2015.

This is an extension to the temporary road closure which was due to end at 24.00hrs on Friday 27th February 2015.

This is an extension to the existing temporary road closure which was due to end at 24.00hrs on Sunday 15th February 2015.

O’Connell Street Upper & Lower, Dublin 1.

The Office of Public Works intends to close the following road to facilitate the 1916 Easter Rising Commemoration Event:

• O’Connell Street Upper & Lower (Parnell Street to Bachelors Walk /Eden Quay), Dublin 1 from 05.00hrs to 15.00hrs on Sunday 5th April 2015.

• Traffic on Bachelors Walk and O’Connell Bridge wishing to access Parnell Street will be diverted via Eden Quay, Beresford Place, Gardiner Street Lower and Parnell Street.
• Traffic on Parnell Square East wishing to access D’Olier Street will be diverted via Parnell Street, Marlborough Street, Sean MacDermott Street Upper, Gardiner Street Lower, Beresford Place, Memorial Road, Georges Quay and Burgh Quay.
• Traffic on Sean MacDermott Street Upper wishing to access D’Olier Street via Cathal Brugha Street and O’Connell Street will be diverted via Marlborough Street, Eden Quay, Beresford Place, Memorial Road, Georges Quay and Burgh Quay.

Earl Street North, Dublin 1.

• Earl Street North (from Talbot Street to Earl Place), Dublin 1 from 00.00hrs on Wednesday 18th March 2015 to 24.00hrs on Sunday 19th April 2015.

• Traffic on Talbot Street wishing to access Earl Street North will be diverted via Marlborough Street, Sackville Place and Earl Place.
• Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.

St Andrew Street and Church Lane, Dublin 2.

John Paul Construction intends to close the following streets to facilitate crane lift operations:

• St Andrew Street (from Trinity Street to Suffolk Street) and Church Lane, and Dublin 2
• Period 1:  From 20.00hrs on Wednesday 11th February 2015 to 06.00hrs on Thursday 12th February 2015

or

• Period 2: From 20.00hrs on Wednesday 18th February 2015 to 06.00hrs on Thursday 19th February 2015

This temporary road closure was scheduled to take place from Wednesday 21st January 2015 to Thursday 22nd January 2015
and subsequently from Wednesday 28th January to Thursday 29th January 2015 and Wednesday 4th February 2015 to Thursday
5th February 2015 but was deferred due to adverse weather conditions/anticipated adverse weather conditions on each occasion.
