Easter Sunday Rising Commemoration Ceremony 2024

The Annual Commemoration Ceremony to mark the 108th anniversary of the 1916 Rising will be held outside the GPO on Easter Sunday 31st March 2024 at 12pm.
The business and community liaison officer for the event has asked us to share an event notification letter:
In order to facilitate this event, temporary road closures will be in place: O’Connell Street Upper and Lower will be closed to road traffic from 5am until 3pm.

The ceremony will be similar to that held in 2023 with the commemoration party arriving at 11:40 to the GPO.
The Army Band recital begins at 11:00. The ceremony will start at 12:00 and will finish at 12:30.
Those wishing to attend the event should be in position by 11:30.
