DublinTown launched the programme of festive events for Dublin at Christmas outside the GPO yesterday. Originally the launch was set to take stage at the junction of Henry St and Liffey St but as November rain decided to make an appearance, it was on to Option B at the front of the GPO.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Brendan Carr, popped down to meet Santa himself, who had his trusty reindeer Rudolf with him! The winter wonderland was decked out with over 20 Christmas Trees, metres and metres of twinkling lights and of course snow (thanks to a snow machine!)

Twins Ann and Maria (3) were also part of the Christmas scene – dressed in their Christmas best!
