Luas Cross City – Parnell Square East

Parnell Square East / Cavendish Row Diversion
To facilitate works required for the Luas Cross City Utilities contract on Parnell Street it will be necessary to change traffic movements in the area. For a period of 2 weeks from 11th February 2015, traffic will not be permitted to access Parnell Street from Parnell Square East / Cavendish Row. To facilitate access to Parnell Street, east of O’Connell Street, and Gardiner Street / Summerhill the following diversions will be in place.
Traffic accessing Parnell Street, east of O’Connell Street, from Parnell Square:
• Traffic on Parnell Square North should continue straight through the junction with North Fredrick Street /Parnell Square East and onto Gardiner Row
• Continue straight on Gardiner Row and Denmark Street
• Turn right at the next set of traffic lights onto Hill Street
• Continue along Hill Street
• Turn right onto Parnell Street
Traffic accessing Gardiner Street / Summerhill from Parnell Square:
• Traffic on Parnell Square North should continue straight through the junction with North Fredrick Street /Parnell Square East and onto Gardiner Row
• Continue straight on Gardiner Row and Denmark Street
• Continue straight through the next set of traffic lights onto Gardiner Place
•At the next set of traffic lights:
Turn left onto Gardiner Street Upper to access Dorset Street, or
Turn right onto Mountjoy Square West / Gardiner Street Lower and at the next set of traffic light turn left on Summerhill
Traffic diversion signs will be in place for the duration of these works.
