Luas Cross City works – August Bank Holiday weekend

Luas Cross City have advised that from 8pm on Friday 29th July to 6am Tuesday 2nd August, access to the quays across O’Connell Bridge will be closed to eastbound and westbound traffic.

Although local diversions will be in place and access to car parks will be maintained, significant disruption to traffic is expected.

If you need to drive through Dublin City, Luas Cross City recommend using the ‘Inner orbital’ route shown on the map.

The Inner Orbital Route roughly encircles the core of Dublin City Centre. You should use this route to find your way from one side of the city centre to the other whilst avoiding the construction area in the core of the city.

There will be additional Luas services on the Green and Red Lines, as well as Dart Services on Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday. Kids also go FREE with a valid Child Leap Card on all bus, rail and Luas services in the Dublin Area for the entire weekend.
