O’Connell Street Special Planning Controls – consultation

Dublin City Council has put its Special Planning Control (SPC) scheme for O’Connell Street out for public consultation. This is a review of the original scheme which was introduced in 2003 and renewed again in 2009.
The stated objective of the scheme is “to guide investment toward the creation of a busy thriving commercial area in O’Connell Street and environs, while protecting and enhancing architectural, cultural, civic and historic character.”
