Council & Government updates, Traffic & RoadsAugust 08, 2023

Initially for 6 weekends on a trial basis from the 11th of June, Capel Street and Parliament Street was made traffic-free by Dublin City Council Friday to Sunday evenings from 18:30 to 23:30. This was extended to a total of 17 weeks until the 3rd of October.

Towards the end of the trial, Dublin City Council held a non-statutory public consultation to obtain views on people’s experience over the 17 weeks and what options they would like to see further developed.
