Review of Busking bye-laws

Council & Government updates, DublinTown UpdatesAugust 08, 2023

As many businesses will be aware Dublin City Council introduced for the first time Bye-Laws to promote and manage quality street performance in the City in April 2015. This is something that DublinTown had advocated for a number of years and were involved in the original code of practice as well as making detailed submissions in relation to the bye-laws adopted in 2015.

The Council has undertaken after review of the current bye-laws and certain changes to the Bye-Laws are proposed. These changes were presented to the elected Members on 7th December 2015 and it was decided to undertake a period of public consultation on the draft revised Bye-Laws. The public consultation begins on Monday 4th January 2016 and runs until Friday 12th February 2016 at 12:00 noon.

Any submissions can be made in writing to streetperformers@dublincity.ie

A copy of the proposed changes can be viewed here. We would encourage all members to make a submission to make their views heard.
